INTERNSHIP AT DAWID TOMASZEWSKI
(June – August 2023, Berlin)
I had the opportunity to gain incredibly valuable experience in the fashion sector while working at Dawid Tomaszewski. I was able to perfect my sewing skills and gain an internal perspective of a successful fashion company. During my internship I was able to learn new hand sewing techniques such as embroidery, feather work or sequins.
While I mainly worked on the sewing of pieces for the SS 2024 collection, I also had the chance to make patterns to measure, do quality controls for the ready-to-wear garments and assist in photoshoots and fittings.
All of the above helped me further develop my creative and practical skills and grow as a young fashion creator and designer.
Pink fringe skirt

One of the main projects I worked on was making three sequin fringe skirts from start to finish. I corrected the base patterns for the characteristics of the desired skirt and cut the tulle. They were then basted together and basted with the fringe strips. After that, I sewed the pieces by machine. Later on, I also had the chance to grade and customize the pattern for a client’s order.
